Salmon Creek Washington is a quaint community located just north of Vancouver WA and Portland OR. Washington State University opened a Salmon Creek campus in 1996, and since then the community has become the most rapidly growing area in Clark County WA.
Like most of the Pacific Northwest, there is plenty of natural beauty and outdoor recreation to be found here. Salmon Creek Park and Klineline Pond provide many such diversions. The clear, spring-fed lake with its sandy beach is perfect for sunbathing and picnicking in summertime! This park is also the starting point for the Salmon Creek Greenway and Salmon Creek Trail, and is next to the Salmon Creek Sports Association Complex, offering hiking, biking and horse riding.
There are also plenty of fascinating attractions in the southwest Washington real estate region, including Mount St. Helens, which offers helicopter tours, hiking and cross-country skiing. The Pacific Ocean is also only two hours to the west, where visitors can explore the many Lewis & Clark attractions or enjoy a variety of seafood delicacies. The Salmon Creek and Vancouver areas also have a significant number of historical attractions, such as the picturesque Cedar Creek Grist Mill and the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. Salmon Creek captures the best aspects of the Pacific Northwest in one fast growing community!
